Doris Starks DVM
Dr. Doris Starks graduated from Tuskegee University in Alabama in 1997. She returned to Omaha to join the team at RalstonVet Clinic, where she helped clients provide the best care for their pets through all life stages. In 2005, she joined the team at the Animal Emergency Clinic, where she developed a vast knowledge of emergency medicine and critical care. This experience taught her to effectively communicate with clients in emergency situations in order to achieve the best outcome possible for both the client and the patient. Dr Starks started Urgent Pet Care with the vision of providing affordable afterhours care. At home, Dr Starks is joined by her husband, Donald, and two children, Mark and Elaine. She has two dogs Colt and Beretta and a cat named Tiger. Dr. Starks is dedicated to providing the highest quality service to your family and your pets.
Debbie Newhouse, LVT, CVPM
Debbie Newhouse began her career in 1990 at the Animal Emergency Clinic, as a Veterinary Assistant. There she joined a team of dedicated doctors and team members that helped families and their pets through crisis situations. She became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2001 and a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager in 2009. In 2010, She joined the team at the RalstonVet Clinic where she helped their exceptional team provide superior pet care and caring attention to every family member every time. Debbie now joins Dr Starks in providing affordable and caring urgent care services to families and their pet.
Debbie family consists of a border collie named Ruby and two horses, Hawk and Hersey. She is involved in Toastmasters and the Veterinary Association of Practice Leaders. In her spare time she loves to ride her horses and travel abroad.
Dr. Westfall was born and raised in Omaha, NE where she graduated from Westside High School. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska Omaha, and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Westfall is excited to be back in the Omaha area with her 2 cats, Sahara and Jessie, and her 2 turtles, Yertle and Mertle. In her free time she enjoys reading and traveling to reptile shows.
