ASPCA’s Adopt a Shelter Dog Month in October From Urgent Pet Care

The ASPCA hosts and celebrates “Adopt a Shelter Dog” month every October, with the purpose of this event being to help dogs in shelters all across the country find the loving homes they deserve. If you’ve been considering pet adoption for yourself, this would be a great time to visit your local shelter and consider bringing home a dog that needs your love, care, and commitment. Many shelters even host special adoption events throughout this month, including free and discounted adoptions.
Even if you’re not in a position to adopt a dog for yourself, you could still celebrate this October by sponsoring a dog’s adoption fee or donating to a local shelter. Anything you can do to improve the life of a shelter dog can make a huge difference.
